Frank & Martin’s LGBTQ+ Wedding at Manchester Register Office
A relaxed, joy-filled city wedding in the heart of Manchester
Frank and Martin’s wedding at Manchester Register Office was everything a city wedding should be — intimate, emotional, full of laughter, and completely focused on what actually matters.
As a Manchester wedding photographer, I love photographing ceremonies at the register office. There’s something beautifully honest about it. No distractions. Just two people making a promise.
And Frank and Martin absolutely owned their day.
A Manchester Register Office Wedding Done Their Way
Manchester Register Office is one of the most popular ceremony venues in the city centre, and for good reason. The rooms are bright, elegant, and perfect for smaller weddings that still feel special.
Frank and Martin kept things simple and stylish. Close friends and family gathered inside, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the nerves quickly turned into huge smiles once they saw each other.
One of my favourite things about photographing LGBTQ+ weddings is the way couples often strip things back to what feels right for them. No pressure to follow traditions that don’t fit. Just authenticity.
And that always photographs beautifully.
Natural, Candid Wedding Photography in Manchester
If you’ve found this blog because you’re searching for a Manchester Register Office wedding photographer, here’s what you should know about how I work.
I specialise in natural, candid wedding photography. I don’t stage moments. I don’t make you perform. I blend in and capture what’s actually happening.
With Frank and Martin, that meant:
• The little squeeze of the hand before the vows
• The nervous laughter
• The proud parents holding back tears
• That huge, just-married grin as they walked back down the aisle
Those are the images that matter in 20 years.
Confetti, City Streets & Manchester Energy
After the ceremony, we stepped outside for confetti on the iconic steps of Manchester Register Office. The city centre buzz adds something special to wedding photos — passing trams, curious smiles from strangers, that proper Manchester atmosphere.
We took a short wander for relaxed portraits nearby. Nothing forced. Just natural moments, good light, and letting them enjoy being married.
City weddings are brilliant because you don’t need hours away from your guests. Ten or fifteen relaxed minutes is more than enough.
LGBTQ+ Friendly Wedding Photographer in Manchester
It shouldn’t need saying in 2026, but it does: your wedding photographer should make you feel completely comfortable being yourselves.
Love is love. Always.
I photograph weddings across Manchester and the North West, and I am proud to be an inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly wedding photographer. No awkwardness. No assumptions. No weird energy. Just respect and celebration.
Frank and Martin’s wedding was a perfect reminder that what matters most is connection, not ceremony size, not tradition, not perfection.
Just people.
If you’re planning your own wedding at Manchester Register Office and want relaxed, natural photography that captures the real moments, I’d love to hear from you.
